Chicago Nativity Trip
17 - 20 November 2015
Because over 100 nativities from various places in the world decorate our house at Christmas, we decided to visit the exhibit at the Loyola University Museum of Art in downtown Chicago. In 2009 The James and Emilia Govan Creche Collection was donated to the museum. While the entire collection contains several hundred creches, 100 or more are exhibited each year. This year's emphasis was on Latin America, but that changes from year to year. Each nativity/creche was labeled with country of origin and other pertinent information.
Some pictures from the exhibit follow. Be prepared as this appears somewhat like a "Pinterest Post."
